Many thanks to Tom Strange for providing 1st class parking while at Mid-Ohio (2002)!!

Due to a persistant oil leak we had to pull the transmission while at Mid-Ohio (2002) to try and resolve the problem with the recently installed gearbox. After much discussion and inspection Tony Drews (front left) quietly asks "whats that little hole for?!". Turns out the recent installation of an early Herald aluminum bell housing allowed an oil passage in the front of the single rail gearbox to become uncovered. So everytime Susan applied the brakes 90w oil flowed freely from the gearbox into the bell housing. Needless to say it required re-installing the original 32 pound cast iron bell housing in place of the 8 pound aluminum one to temporarily solve the problem. Ouch!!!

Tristan is getting a face lift! In order to run with CVAR the rear fender flares had to be removed and the body brought back to original configuration. Thanks to Andy Mace who provided a set of outter fender sections to be used as replacements. By the time the CVAR May 2003 race at TWS rolls around the car should be sporting its new paint job. Pictures will be posted when the paint job is completed and the car is reassembled.
